It’s been a while

No news has been good news. The formal offer has come in from the Lyell McEwin Hospital, so I’m just waiting for the offer from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Both are in Adelaide, the Lyell McEwin is about 10 miles north of the city centre and TQEH is north-west from the city towards the beaches. I’ve not decided which to go for yet, as I’ve not heard all the details from TQEH.
Both jobs will have their advantages. The Lyell McEwin is a smaller hospital, but the post will be at a senior level. Unfortunately this is job is not recognised for specialist training. The TQEH is a huge monolith and although the job will be at a less senior level it is a recognised post (as far as I know).
It’s great to have the choice after being shown the door by the UK system. I almost want to accept them both!
