The joys of paperwork and developments to this site
Posted on Monday 13th November 2006
There is a rash of paperwork outstanding. Firstly arrangements for the cats have to be made. Fortunately a shipping company will take care of most of the hassle factor, but we still have to sort out vaccinations here and quarantine at the other end. Then there is the house sale to wrap up and making sure the equity gets invested properly. My visa is still up in the air, as the nomination paperwork hasn’t come through. Apparently this might take another 2 months which will be cutting things a little fine. I have to get a healthcheck and xray first but hopefully that should be a formality. Then it’s a quick trip to the High Commission in London to get forms rubberstamped. As if that wasn’t enough we still have to organise a shipping company to move most of the important stuff.
On the website side I’ve added a “bookmark this site” link that should work in all browsers. Other functionality includes: accessibility buttons to increase and decrease the text size on the site for those with poor vision, a spam filter and a panel showing the current time, date and weather in Adelaide. This way those we leave behind can see what wonderful weather we’re having when they’re shivering in the English winter. Sorry to rub it in!
