All in one piece – so far!

This is just going to be a quickie so say I’ve arrived in Melbourne safely so am extremely relieved. Anyone who knows me well will understand why this is important as I am an extremely poor air traveller. Fortunately it was a pretty smooth flight and I barely noticed the landing here in Melbourne.
I fly onto Adelaide tomorrow, and in retrospect I think having a stopover was a good decision. I’m horrendously jetlagged and feel like crap, but have the benefit of a room and a shower to myself so it doesn’t matter how bad I look or smell right now (probably rather niffy at the moment!)
Many thanks to those who posted kind comments. I will of course miss you all, but as we’ve said many times – the world is a small place by email and I do intend to come back to the UK in 2008 one way or another.
Anyway, I must try to get some sleep now so I’m at least vaguely human and civil to Regan’s parents tomorrow morning. Signing off ….

Hope you have come back down to earth (er, so to speak!) by the time you read this.
As you say, the world is a small place by email – do not forget those of us in the old country!
