Through the Keyhole
Posted on Friday 23rd February 2007
Unfortunately Loyd couldn’t make it today but we went in anyway. I picked up the keys to our new place this morning and Regan’s parents and I went for a recce visit. It’s a very well built house with all the mod cons.
Downstairs there is a front reception/living room, leading through to a large 15ft by 15ft family room with kitchenette. There is a downstairs toilet and shower and a seperate laundry room. Upstairs is a large landing with a master bedroom, two small bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom has a small balcony that you can see in this photo. At the front it has a garage and parking for another vehicle. At the back there is a covered patio area and a small lawn. Most importantly it has ducted aircon.
I was a little disappointed that the house has been poorly looked after. While everything is in basic order the place was quite dirty and will need a significant spring clean. It doesn’t fill me with much faith for the landlords that they have handed it over in a very shabby state. Needless to say we will be submitting a full list of faults and existing damage, so they can’t claim it was us at the end of the agreement.
Anyway without much further ado here are some pictures. Firstly the family living room:
The kitchenette:
The master bedroom (sorry the picture is a little dark):
And the bathroom (with spa bath!):
You can view the rest of the pictures by clicking here. I forgot to take photos of the back yard, but will do so when I’m round there tomorrow. Hopefully after a thorough clean and with some furniture inside it should be very nice.

Looks good but your mother and I agree that the curtains in the master bedroom WILL HAVE TO GO!!!!! See you sunday!
(PS your folks send their love too)
It does look nice, but guess you and Regan will need to spring-clean it.
Don’t forget to send us your new snail-mail address via email.

Well what can 1 say but CONGRATS, the house looks good from the inside but you heard the lady of the house Rick ”THE CURTAINS HAVE GOT TO GO”, what more could you possibly ask for when you have a large AMERICAN style fridge(freezer) for beer, I hope that dispenser pours out nice cold beer and not water or fruit juice.
The Bachelor life is now over and MAY THE SPRING CLEANING BEGIN.
Until the next BLOG i wish you many happy hours in your love nest.
By the way DON’T FORGET TO PICK REGAN UP FROM THE AIRPORT.
