Gone to the trots

Regan’s cousin Simon (aka Larry) co-owns two horses, one of which ran last night. Of course we put some money on it to win, but unfortunately he was pipped at the post by the favourite. The horse is called Road-Ace and was written off by a previous owner for poor form. Under Larry’s care it has been placed in almost every race it’s run this season. He adopts a similar ethos to the way Wagyu cattle are reared - namely with good quality feed and massage, and it seems to be working!
In other news I’ve increased my weights for Pump 61. I think 3 reds and a blue is reasonable for the new squats track as it isn’t that hard. I had to do the back track with 3 reds yesterday due to shortage of weights and although difficult, it was not impossible. Triceps should be at least 6kg on the kickbacks. Then on the overhead extensions I’m doing 2 reds and a yellow, and going up to the blue should be feasible within a month. Otherwise I think I’ll stick to the same weights. Chest might take an extra yellow at some point, but I only went up to the 3 reds within the last couple of months. Biceps will stay put. It’s not so much the difficulty as trying not to swing on the singles at the end.
Thanks for the updates on progress at LFE. I thought it was only a matter of time before the pikies kicked off. They had no manners at all, would pee in the showers, not flush the toilets and leave sinkfuls of stubble for Charlie to clean up. I’m glad to hear you’re all still keeping up the commitments, but yoga - seriously!? You must let me know how you get on when you get to do 61 too. I sympathise with Mark on keeping up the rowing challenge. Slogging away for 16 minutes solidly isn’t much fun so he needs a sparing partner - any volunteers Rich or Tony?
Pass on my regards to Rod, Simon, Gemma, Vince, Stu, Charlie etc and please don’t forget that little task I left with a few of you!
