Our house is looking a little more lived in. I’ll put up some more pictures when we’ve added all the little touches that make a place home. We’ve also been on a cleaning frenzy as there is still a lot of dirt and dust about the place. When we moved in, Regan’s parents generously paid for a cleaner to give the place a spring clean. The guy did as good a job as he could and cleaned all the obviously visible filth, but he wasn’t able to remove all the marks and stains. So little by little we have been bringing the place up to scratch. It surprises and annoys me somewhat that the owners decribed the house as “clean”, when it was frankly not so. I know when we left Owen Close it wouldn’t have been spotless, but in a house with mostly cream and beige surfaces dirt is very noticeable. Cleanliness is subjective, and we all have our standards - perhaps I am too anally-retentive. This is all academic anyway, as when the cats arrive in 4 days time we will have to tolerate a degree of unruliness!
