The family reunited

Since we last saw them the moggies seem to all have lost some weight. In Tilly’s case this is entirely welcome as she was becoming a bit of a porker at 6kg (an adult cat should weigh about 4.5kg), but the other two are looking rather lean. They have all been a bit twitchy since arrival, but that is entirely to be expected. Fortunately they have all discovered where the litter trays are and there haven’t been any little “accidents”. The food we put down last night has disappeared, and the level in the water bowl has gone down, so they are eating at least. I know they will probably have acclimatised in quarantine, but I am concious of the temperature and the risk of dehydration. The poor animals still partly have their winter coats, hence lots of shed hair on the sofa already!
Last night they were all quite clingy, so thankfully it seems they do remember us. I was expecting lots of sulking and standoffishness over the trauma, but if anything they are more affectionate than when we were in Leicester. I’ve posted a few pics of them on the gallery, and more will follow in due course.

Now that the whole family is together, it will start feeling a bit more like home.
Most of the hot weather is behind us now and autumn in Adelaide is fantastic. You never know your luck, we may even get some rain.

Get Tilly on the treadmill
Aw! One of ours is on my lap as I type; it’s hard to imagine life without your pets.
Hope they acclimatise soon.
