The republic of 61A Brown Street

Equality and individual rights have been adopted at chez nous. The cats, who had been heinously oppressed and imprisoned here, were finally allowed out to explore the garden. They had developed a serious case of cabin fever with some peculiar behaviour and raised tempers. We were careful to supervise their attempts to find gaps in the fence and stray further afield. It seemed to go down well as they rolled around on the lawn and patio. Unfortunately it means they have acquired a taste for the outside and are now sitting at the screen door looking forlornly at the garden. Stupidly I forgot to put on any insect repellent so have a number of red welts on my legs from midge bites.
I hope they appreciate the pain I have suffered to keep them happy. They have more concessions than the population of the United States. It seems rather contrary that in a nation founded on the principle of freedom of speech, that dissenters and protestors have to be kept segregated away from presidential motorcades in “Freedom of Speech zones” in the interests of “national security”. No wonder Bush thinks he can do no wrong if the Secret Service keeps any one with a less-than-complimentary banner behind barbed wire. A perceptive quote in the TV programme show The Practice said: “Surely the whole country is supposed to be a freedom of speech zone?”. It is another symptom of the loss of civil liberties that the US public have been tricked into tolerating in the current climate of fear that has poisoned that country.

Hi Mate you must love those animals to suffer for them
Hiccys on the neck i understand but what’s the fetish with having them on the arm, is that an aussie thing?
Put some sun tan spray on, that will get rid of the marks for the time being
Take care
