I saw the film on the flight out from England and while it was funny in places, it didn’t make me laugh out loud in the same way that Shaun of the Dead or Blackadder did. It has certainly raised the international profile of Kazakhstan whether the nation likes it or not.
Another unfortunate fallout from the film is the sudden popularity of a fashion tragedy - the mankini.
If you too want to offend all around you then they can be bought from eBay. They have even made it to the world of AFL, as a pundit was forced to wear one on TV after losing a bet. Last night a faithful footy fan donned a mankini and sprinted across the field before being lead away to answer charges of gross indecency, not for flesh exposure, but the heinous fashion crime.
Has he no shame!
