And I didn’t even need Demoxinil

Though it certainly made the difference for Homer.
After much deliberation and negotiation I’ve accepted the Senior Registrar position at work. On the plus side it will look good on my CV, provides scope for additional experience and will certainly help with making the transition to the Royal Adelaide next year.
On the downside it will mean a pay cut as I won’t be doing any nights. We get a penalty pay rate after midnight so losing this income will make things a little tight financially. In 3 months time there will be a review which will give me the option of going back to the original Registrar rota (and obviously going back to my original income!)
All in all this is a step up and will be good career-wise. I’m still waiting to hear back from our training college and will keep you updated on what my plans will be from February 2009 onwards.

Congrats, mate! Well done
