The object of my desire

As something different this afternoon we went to Adelaide’s Central Market. It was a good opportunity to find some unusual and exotic foodstuffs, but more so a chance to clap eyes on some classic cars. South Australia is home to many fine classics, which keep in good condition due to the mild, dry weather preventing rust. There were a mixture of veteran 911s, E-type Jags and Ferraris. I was more interested in some of the more modern classics and in particular a fine collection of Lancer Evos.
By chance we came on a display of the soon-to-be-released Evolution X. This is very much on the shopping list and after the new year I will be going down to the local Mitsubishi dealership and putting down a deposit for one of these Jap monsters. Consider a car that will out-accelerate and out-perform most “supercars”, yet will also transport 4 adults, and is functional enough to be a family run-around during the week and track-day car on the weekend.
This will mean trading in the Swift, but it will be worth it to enjoy 280+bhp of Japanese madness!
