Home Sweet Home

We can now relax again. Our search for a new home has been successful and we have found somewhere to live this year. As desired it is in North Adelaide, but rather than being in the heart of the suburb we are in a quieter area. While this means a longer walk to the shops and pub it also means we won’t have any drunken idiots vomiting over our garden wall on their way home.
Our new home is a 1980s replica of a Victorian 2-up, 2-down terrace house. It is smaller than our current home but still large enough not to feel cramped.
The picture doesn’t really do it justice, but there is a small front yard with developed plants. At the back is a reasonable size yard. Currently the back looks a bit like a wasteland, but soon will be paved to form an extended patio.
Our landord is a private owner rather than a letting agent. He works for one of the big banks in town and seems keen to make the place pleasant to live in, rather than cutting corners like agents tend to. He’s already put in new kitchen units, new laminate flooring, security doors, downlighters and is having the back yard redone.
So while we will be paying a fair bit more in rent, the added benefits of this place more than compensate.

Looks really niced. Have you ever seen Simon Pegg’s ‘Spaced’ series? Kinda looks like the house from that!
Is that…sun? I remember sun. Big red thing in the sky. Made things warm. Its been a while!
Parents are still renovating so downstairs of house is a cold shell.
‘Lets make the walls really really thin in winter.’ Go figure!
Looks good, hope you both and the cats will be happy there!
