Thanks for the Memories
Posted on Monday 18th February 2008
Shortly after arriving here I bemoaned my decision not to bring some mementos with us. My point was that inconsequential items acquired during life often have significance and stimulate associated memories. Tonight I found out that sounds can do likewise.
I’ve just returned from our usual Monday night Pump class and enjoyed a trip down nostalgia lane with release #57. While it’s not a particularly notable release in the grand scheme it holds special meaning for me as it was the first one we did at LFE. It was the first full release I did as a BodyPump newbie. It brings back memories of my initiation into The Lads, many evenings gossiping over cups of tea in the LFE lounge, instructor Paul who we thought was gay but was actually married, and discovering the buzz from getting fit with the help of friends.
It also reminded me how valuable it was having a group of buddies who constantly pushed and were pushed to improve. In one short year you guys got me into the best shape of my life. Before I get overly sentimental let me just say it reminded me that even though we have moved to the other side of the world, I haven’t forgotten our life, friends and family back in the UK. We’re both eagerly anticipating our reunion with you all in September.

Hi Ric thats very nice of you we miss you both and we did push each other which is a good thing even though you dont feel like at times however i do miss the good times which seems a distant memory now
