At times like this I’m sure practically every one living in Adelaide would gladly swap, at least temporarily, with people in England – and vice versa. There is a principle that too much of something becomes tiresome, and after 7 days consecutive with temperatures in excess of 35 degrees, even native South Australians are becoming frustrated with the protacted heat.
We are hoping that it will be more pleasant when my family come here later this month, otherwise the difference will be quite a shock!
