Perhaps now I’m good enough

This may not be the be-all and end-all, and only having one article in press is hardly groundbreaking, but it is a start. It also helps to supplement my CV and shows initiative. Perhaps if I had thought of this earlier, getting a job back home might have been easier.
Doing this has given me an appreciation of how difficult research is. It took over 8 months, 24 re-drafts and many long writing and editing sessions to complete. That was just for a review of existing literature let alone starting from scratch. In the next couple of months I will be starting a formal research trial and am already anticipating a long road before it makes it into print. All of this is worthwhile however as one of the requirements of my training is to undertake a clinical study.
Unfortunately I can’t publish the finished product as the journal now holds copyright. However I will send a copy on to anyone interested when I get one myself.
