Ready for the off

It’s less than 12 hours till we fly out on the first leg of our trip back to see friends and family, and check that the motherland is still there. The journey starts with a quick intercity hop to Sydney, before boarding the first leg to Singapore. We arrive there late tomorrow evening and have 24 hours before flying out, via Doha, heading for Heathrow.
We have four weeks, four very busy weeks in the UK, with arrangements made to catch up with many of you. It will be quite hectic, but we plan to fit in as much as possible, including making up for missing last Christmas and a few birthdays while we’ve been in Aus.
In our absence the cats will be incarcerated at a charity cattery. I feel a sense of guilt over abandoning them again, but we have been promised they will be well cared for. Hopefully there won’t be too many tantrums and arguments since they will be sharing the same run. Tonight they have been given a special dinner and plenty of attention in the hope they don’t forget us in our absence.
We arrive in London next Thursday and will look forward to many reunions over the following month. I’ll try to keep our progress updated with some photos along the way.

Hi Rick,
Bon Voyage!
Just a quick note, will you be spending two nites with us i.e 16 and the 17 (aiming to head south on the 17th) or just the one night. It doesn’t make any difference othe than deciding on which day we can get off (or at least try to get off!).
