Right, let’s have another go

We’ve been here before. After the recent disaster I am happy to be rolling again. So this post announces my latest bike ownership.
Fortunately the insurance company came to the rescue and have paid off the claim. In fact, not only have they recompensed my original outlay but put in a fair bit extra. That put me within easy reach of an upgrade to the superior model in the range.
My previous bike was a Specialized Rockhopper Comp 07 and the insurance payout facilitated the significant improvement to the Rockhopper Expert 09 model. The old bike was pretty good but the new one is in a different league due to the higher specification parts such as the RockShox Recon front forks, the Deore XT derailleurs and Avid Juicy hydraulic disc brakes. I’ve ridden it to work a couple of times, and the difference is obvious. The new one is so much smoother and has almost no rolling resistance – a key sign of a good bike.
This new acquisition is so much more than a commuter tool, and will prove itself competent off-road too. Hopefully when we have time later this year we can get out on the Mawson Trail and clock up some kilometres on the rough stuff.

I bet it wont be a pink Dragster with the flags on the back of the seat and clickers on the wheels.. pink& purple placky basket on the front and a glitter seat [old school but how I always wanted a cool bike like that]
The Mawson Trail hey… all of it or just a bit? If so, which bit?
