Finally we can institute some security. After an interminable wait for Adelaide City Council to approve planning permission, our landlord has come through for us and our backyard is enclosed for the first time since last July. The story is too complicated to go into, but needless to say it culminated in our backyard being open and vulnerable to opportunists as we discovered to our cost.
I know this may sound like a fairly trivial bit of news, but it is important to us and will reassert that feeling of safety at home. As Darryl Kerrigan would appreciate “a man’s home is his castle, so it ought to be as safe as one”.

I don’t see them climbing the fence, so Cats will now be on home dentention.
They might need some toys in the garden to play with so they don’t get bored.
