Second Anniversary
Posted on Thursday 29th January 2009
I seem to be good at these “in a series” posts, following on from last year’s.
This now marks two years since I arrived in Australia. A lot has happened since then and hopefully there is more to come. Thanks to all of the regular readers and commentators. I wasn’t sure this blog would last, but I’m still keen to keep in touch so will keep updating it.
So while English readers are freezing their <insert word of choice> off, we’re sweating it out. Global warming is an understatement. A relatively cool day today – only 41 degrees in the shade. Sympathy is also due to the poor moggies who have been lying around lethargically. I know they evolved in a desert environment, but not one this hot. I’m trying not to run the air-conditioning during the day as the electricity supply is being overloaded, but it will definitely go on tonight so we can sleep!
Roll on winter.
