… tumbling down. No harm in letting a good reference go to waste.
An “Act of God”. That’s what they’re calling it. The pyroclastic ash cloud that is currently loitering over northern Europe has impacted us too. I’m sure God had no part in it, but that hasn’t prevented the insurance companies from using it as an excuse to dodge compensation.
The end result for us sees my parents enjoying the hospitality of Australia a little longer. At this stage they haven’t any prospect of getting out until at least the 27th. Which has come as significant inconvenience for them, and presented all of us with many logistical hassles.
In the spirit of trying to find the silver lining, we’ve come up with more things for them to do while here. Previously I’d made a list of activities for their next visit. Now, they don’t have to wait two years to do them all. Score!
