… again. Yet more paperwork submitted and time to play the waiting game while unseen bureaucrats scrutinise another aspect of my life.
Finally, the UK postal system has recovered from the literal and metaphorical fall-out from the Eyjafjallajokull eruption. Incidentally, prizes to anyone who can pronounce it’s name, and certainly no winners from amongst the international news anchor body. Getting back on topic, my UK police clearance has finally arrived and been forwarded onto the local Immigration office.
Hopefully this now means my application for permanent residency will now proceed. All being well, in a couple of months we’ll get the decision and, if positive, will enable me to apply for senior posts. Until then I’m hoping that the various units in the city can hold off releasing job offers.
